Now it is possible to talk about an important operation of purchase and sale of companies, in the most thriving sector in South America, Agriculture: GDM, a company with Argentine capital, with 41 years of experience, bought the Group of Companies of Brazilian origin, Biotrigo , created in 2008. Biotrigo is the undisputed leader in the regional wheat germplasm market (75% of the Brazilian market, 25% of the Argentine market, and a strong presence in Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia).

We have had the privilege, at “Navarro Floria, Loprete & Asociados” (NFLA) of advising GDM (in the past “Asociados Don Mario S.A.”) for more than 25 years, and of establishing the company and accompanying the growth of Biotrigo Genetica S.R.L. (the Argentine company of the Biotrigo Group) and Biotrigo Uruguay S.R.L..

I was personally involved in the constitution, implementation and growth of several of the projects of these two Business Groups, leading the NFLA Work Teams. And in the midst of the isolation generated by the pandemic and the restrictions on entry to Argentina and internal movement within the territory, we were able to launch the Chacabuco Experimental Station, of Biotrigo Argentina.

On the NFLA side, we have had the honor and joy of accompanying GDM and Biotrigo in many of their successful activities. And as a corollary of two synergistic growth processes, due to the trust that the Brazilian partners of Biotrigo Genética gave me, I had to complete the sale of this Argentine Company to GDM.
